I’m a jack-of-all-trades gamer. I like video games as much as board games, card games, miniature games or roleplaying games and spend a lot of my spare time on reading rulebooks, watching reviews or giving some ideas a try. I also play games myself, but less than I would like to and probably less than a real gamer usually does. That said, I’m also a master-of-none gamer. I don’t focus on specific games and I’m not an expert in any kind of them, I think. But I take that as an opportunity to stay at a certain distance and take a look at the greater picture.
I earn my living by working as a software engineer for KING Art, a computer game development studio based in Bremen, Germany. While implementing the ideas of other game designers, I sometimes get the opportunity to influence the game design myself in one way or another.
